The name Diavel comes from Italian word for Devil. Therefore the Ducati slogans for Diavel are: „Dont call me a cruiser“ and „Ride Like The Devil“.

The Ducati Diavel is a Power Cruiser, new concept for Ducati company, with looks from custom motorcycles and handling that is very close to supersport bikes. It is a cruiser meets a superbike.

Diavel is also second cruiser or cruiser like motorcycle from Ducati, after the Indiana of 1986–1990. The 2011 model year Diavel debuted in November 2010 at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan.

The engine on the first model of Diavel from 2011 is a retuned version of the 1,198.4 cc Testastretta from the 1198 superbike.

From 2015 Diavel gets a new engine with two spark plugs per cyclinder that is used on Multistrada 1200 and Monster 1200.

Diavel comes as a standard version or Dark, Diavel Carbon Black, Diavel Carbon Red and Carbon White. Carbon version comes with Carbon fiber parts such as front mudguard, side panels and also lighter aluminium forged rims.

New 2015 model has different shaped exhaust mufflers with sharper lines, new LED headlights, new side panels and diffrerent rim design, but the biggest difference is in the engine with more torque trough the mid range and two spark plugs which make Diavel a smooth ride.

The Diavel is a very stable motorcycle suitable for cruising and for sport riding.

All the technology that is used to create this fantastic motorcycle comes from Ducati racing experience, which makes the Diavel an amazing riding experience for every rider.
