After 1199 Panigale, 899 Panigale was highly anticipated by the Ducatisti and all the other Ducati fans.

On September 9 th 2013 the 899 Panigale was introduced and it was accepted on the market as the fun racing toy that has more practical application in everyday use than the big brother 1199 Panigale.

899 Panigale has more smooth power delivery in the low rpm area because of less power and grunt than 1199.

899 Panigale shows its power potential in the high rpm area and when ridden on the race track becomes full- blooded racing machine designed to put a smile on the face with its precise handling, cornering and acceleration on the straight lines to any skilled rider.

The technology on 899 Panigale derived from Ducati racing experience from 1199 Panigale, the two motorcycles are regarding looks , virtually the same, except the rear fork which is aluminium double- sided swingarm on the 899 Panigale, and on 1199 it is a single- sided swingarm.

The second difference is in the engine. The technology and mechanics are identical on both models, except the smaller displacement on 899 Panigale.

899 Panigale also comes equipped with Riding modes, Power modes, ABS, DTC, DQS, EBC, Ride- by- Wire, DDA+ Ready, and steering damper as standard.
