According to information coming from the East, the new Gilera will be produced by Zongshen-Piaggio in China.

With lower price, thanks to Chinese manufacturing, it could be an attractive option globally if Piaggio decides to sell the “new Shiver” also in the rest of the world.

As China’s emissions regulations are already quite strict, meeting the requirements for sales in Europe or the United States shouldn’t be a significant obstacle for the company.
